Cape Town - Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson made a cameo in midfield in a dominant display as Pep Guardiola's side defeated Wolves 3-0 in the English Premiership, on Monday night.
With Wolves trying to play a ball over the top, the Brazilian shot-stopper rushed off his line to make a vital interception but then continued join in with the midfield.
His team-mates seemed totally comfortable with him being way off his line and continued to play the ball back to him as City knocked the ball around before switching play.
Manager Pep Guardiola later said he had no problems at all with his goalkeeper leaving his line, saying that he must've been frustrated but not having a touch of the ball throughout the majority of the game.
"I'm so pleased because he stays high off his line, Guardiola said. "Our keeper has to protect the back four from long balls with the danger of Adama Traore, who is maybe the fastest player I've seen in my life.
"It was good, he made a decision and maybe he must be more precise, but the ball is out so no problem.
"He just wants a touch of the ball!"
