Walker enjoying Guardiola's attacking football

Cape Town - Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker is relishing the opportunity to play an exciting brand of attacking football under manager Pep Guardiola.

The England international completed his £45m move from Tottenham Hotspur on July 14 and has played in three pre-season friendlies as City lost to Manchester United, before beating Spurs and Real Madrid.

Walker is excited about being part of the setup at City and eager to help them reach their targets in the new season.

"I want to go on and win things. That was my main reason for joining, and also working with the gaffer who can pass on his experience and the calibre of players that he's played with will hopefully improve my game," he said, according to ESPN.

"I think it's just he likes to play attacking football that I like to play - attractive, attacking football," he added.

"It's also about keeping the backdoor shut and not conceding many goals. I feel like we've been working on that in preseason and especially in the last two games we've really shown the quality that we've got and we can go and hurt teams."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
