Cape Town - Manchester United are reportedly hoping to persuade Leicester City to sell defender Harry Maguire by including midfielder Andreas Pereira in their offer.
The Foxes central defender remains high on United's wanted list but has so far failed to agree on a deal as Leicester have knocked back all interest in the player.
United are battling with arch rivals Manchester City for Maguire's signature, and reports claim they hope to win the race by offering Pereira as part of the deal.
However, United have no intention of selling the Brazilian on a permanent basis but would be willing to loan him to Leicester in the hope that could be enough to do a deal.
Whether Leicester would be open to such a deal remains to be seen, but it is thought they would be willing to sell if their £90million valuation is met.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of Pereira after he tried to sign the midfielder during his time at Celtic and could be interested again.
