Cape Town - Manchester United have announced the signing of highly-rated 16-year-old French midfielder Aliou Traore.
Snapped up from Sarcelles, the young midfielder, who has also spent time with Paris Saint-Germain, has already made his debut for United Under-18's in their 3-2 defeat to Wolves in Saturday's Premier League Cup.
A France Under-17 international, Traore initially joined up with the club for the pre-season training camp in Austria.
Speaking to MUTV, Under-18 coach Kieran McKenna said: "Traore is a boy we've been looking at for a while.
"He is a really powerful midfielder who likes to run box to box. He is very strong technically and is improving all the time.
"He's a nice man and his English is improving. He's settling in well with the boys and has taken to the club really well."
Traore's signing follows the capture of Belgian teenager Largie Ramazani from Charlton Athletic and Northern Ireland Under-17 captain Ethan Galbraith from Linfield.
