United set to be without Martial for Spurs clash

Cape Town - Manchester United are set to be without forward Anthony Martial for the clash with Tottenham on Wednesday night, according to reports.

The Frenchman has started ten matches in all competitions this season, contributing five goals and three assists.

United have generally missed the 23-year-old when he hasn’t played this season with Marcus Rashford having to take on most of their goalscoring responsibilities.

Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford on Wednesday for the first time since leaving United last December but the Red Devils could now be without Martial for the fixture.

Sky Sports claim that Martial is ‘struggling to overcome a muscular problem’ he picked up during their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.

Solskjaer said on Tuesday that Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic are “touch and go” while Paul Pogba will not feature.

"They’re touch and go," Solskjaer said. "So let’s get this training session out of the way. We’ve got more games than this one, so of course I can’t look at just the one game, we have got to look at long-term."
