Tipsters: Title time for Man City!

Cape Town – Manchester City and Liverpool the big winners.

That is the general view of the Sport24 forecasters ahead of two massive derbies in the latest round of English Premiership fixtures.
First on Saturday, in-form ‘Pool are quite widely fancied to see off Merseyside rivals Everton at Goodison Park.

Then in the late spot, City – in a bounce-back from their Champions League quarter-final first leg thumping at Anfield in midweek – should secure the title by beating bitter enemies Man Utd (or at very least not lose the humdinger, even if the silverware stays out of their grasp a tad longer).

Each round of the 2017/18 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
