Tipsters: Tight between Gunners, Blues!

English Premiership flutter (File)

Cape Town – It’s a “best of the rest” sort of tussle, given Manchester City’s outrageous dominance thus far, but Arsenal v Chelsea remains a reasonably enticing derby prospect next Wednesday as the English Premiership programme stays very busy.

But our tipsters don’t exactly see either closing the gap significantly on the rampant Sky Blues, with a cagey draw the majority prediction.

Meanwhile, of course, there is inevitable, widespread backing for City to power onward, beating both Crystal Palace and Watford over the next few days.

Each round of the 2017/18 Premiership season, our experts have a crack at predicting the results.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result. Try it yourself and see how you shape up ...
