Tipsters: Spurs will slip against champs!

Cape Town - It’s a wait until Monday night for the big clash of the English Premiership round … but despite their own strong position Tottenham will come short against champions Manchester City at Wembley.

So say the vast majority of the Sport24 forecasters, probably at least partly influenced by the rather painful one-sidedness of last season’s clashes: City won 3-1 on the road, and 4-1 in the home meeting.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the other prediction gurus are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded to the tipsters for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
