Tipsters: Reds to thump Toon

English Premiership flutter (File)

Cape Town - Now fairly clear-cut Premiership table-leaders, Liverpool will keep that daylight by downing labouring Newcastle next up.

That is the belief for the Boxing Day programme of the Sport24 tipsters ... even given the strange Toon habit in 2018/19 of often being more resilient away than at home.

Champions Manchester City, meanwhile, are expected to bounce back from their shock reverse to Crystal Palace by beating Leicester on the road.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the other Premiership prediction gurus are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Have a go yourself: three points are awarded to the forecasters for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.
