Tipsters: 'Pool to thump lowly Hornets ... again

Cape Town - Liverpool won 5-0 the last time they entertained Watford at Anfield in the English Premiership (2018/19) ... and will breeze past them again.

That is the firm belief of the Sport24 forecasters for Saturday's encounter, hardly surprising considering the Reds' hefty lead at the top and the Hornets’ occupation of the basement berth.

Last season’s clash was marked by a brace of goals each for Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

Each round of the 2019/20 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
