Tipsters: 'Pool to pinch top-of-table clash

Cape Town – Leaders Liverpool to stretch the gap on nearest challengers and defending champions Manchester City in their "Super Sunday" Premiership encounter.

That is the majority expectation of the Sport24 pundits … although all results are suggested from their seven-strong midst.

There is also an expectation that this won't be a repeat of last season's corresponding, goalless meeting at Anfield – a game where City's Riyad Mahrez botched a late penalty.

Each round of the 2019/20 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
