Tipsters: ‘Pool to edge Blues toughie!

Cape Town – The trickier of the games this week for the two Premiership title contenders … but Liverpool will do the necessary business against Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.

That is the clear majority view of the Sport24 forecasters for the most appealing fixture of the round on paper.

But they also expect Manchester City to earn “maximum” a couple of hours earlier when they face lower mid-table Crystal Palace in London, keeping the race on a knife edge.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the other Premiership prediction panellists are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Have a go yourself: three points are awarded to the forecasters for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
