Tipsters: Mersey misery for Gunners!

Cape Town - Liverpool will be the only English Premiership team still with a 100 percent win record after the weekend’s round.

That is the prediction of the Sport24 gurus, based on their almost unanimous belief that the Reds will see off Arsenal (also presently two wins from two) at Anfield on Saturday.

Only comfort for the Gunners, maybe, is that we don’t see it being as bad as last season’s corresponding result, when ‘Pool romped (Firmino hat-trick) to a 5-1 win.

Each round of the 2019/20 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results - do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

Yes! Siya will only be 36 at the next World Cup. He can make it!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
