Tipsters: Man City’s title on Sunday!

Cape Town – That last-day Manchester City slip-up so desired by a large portion of Merseyside? It’s not going to happen.

At least according to the Sport24 tipsters, all but one of whom see the champions retaining their English Premiership title on Sunday by beating lowly Brighton on the south coast.

There is unanimity that Liverpool will win as well – albeit against tough nuts Wolves at Anfield – but that won’t be enough to see the Reds installed as title-clinchers instead.

City beat Brighton in the corresponding fixture last season by a 2-0 margin, with strikes from Sergio Aguero plus a Lewis Dunk own-goal.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the other Premiership prediction panellists are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Have a go yourself: three points are awarded to the forecasters for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.
