Tipsters: Man City to claw back (some!) ground

Cape Town – While unlikely to send any tremors through Anfield, Manchester City will solidify their presence in second on the English Premiership table by beating struggling West Ham comfortably at home on Sunday.

So say the Sport24 tipsters about a heavily abbreviated round of matches.

City, later to be champions, did win last season’s corresponding game 1-0, although they were made to battle by the Hammers before a Sergio Aguero penalty made the key difference.

Each round of the 2019/20 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.
