Cape Town – Even if only temporarily, Liverpool will take advantage of Manchester City’s absence from a curtailed English Premiership programme to recapture the lead this weekend.
That is the unanimous view of the Sport24 gurus, who see them beating labouring Southampton away on Friday night.
If so, it would echo their success at St Mary’s last season, when they prevailed 2-0 with strikes from Messrs Firmino and Salah.
