Tipsters: City to plough on against Spurs!

Cape Town – They should be well tested by Tottenham … but that won’t stop champions Manchester City from bagging "maximum" again in their Premiership home tussle on Saturday.

This is the unanimous view of the Sport24 panel about the most attractive fixture on paper in the second round of matches.

City won the corresponding game last season 1-0, courtesy of a strike from young Phil Foden.

Each round of the 2019/20 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
