Tipsters: Blues will edge Gunners derby

Cape Town - Arsenal to continue their back-foot start to the season.

That is the confident prediction of the Sport24 forecasters for their second fixturing toughie in a row in early-season when they cross London on Saturday to play a Chelsea side already three points to the good from the opening round.

It was a goalless draw between them at Stamford Bridge last season, but the broad expectation is that this may be livelier.

Each round of the 2018/19 campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton, and defending champion), Lloyd Burnard, Tashreeq Vardien, Baden Gillion and Lynn Butler (all Man Utd) plus Craig Taylor (Liverpool).

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.

Yes! Siya will only be 36 at the next World Cup. He can make it!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
