Cape Town - Manchester United have reportedly joined Leicester City and Manchester City in the race to clinch the signature of Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans has been a revelation while on loan with the Foxes, and it is no surprise that boss Brendan Rodgers would love to keep him on a permanent basis.
However, it looks as though their chances are fading by the day as interest from first champions Manchester City, and now local rivals United has thrown a spanner in the works.
It had been claimed over the weekend that City officials had already met with their counterparts at Monaco to agree on a deal for the talented midfielder.
Now reports also claim that United have entered into talks with the 22-year-old's representatives in the hope they can convince him to head to Old Trafford.
The only thing the Foxes can probably offer the player that other suitors cannot is guaranteed Premier League football, but that, on its own, is unlikely to win the day.
