With soccer in England at a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic, English Premiership fans got their footy fix on Friday thanks to a virtual London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and their city rivals, West Ham.

The showdown, played in FIFA 20, saw Tottenham's Ryan Sessegnon defeat West Ham's Michail Antonio 2-0 in a match broadcast to millions of fans over game streaming platform, Twitch.

Sessegnon dominated with his Tottenham side, managing 15 shots on goal. Antonio, who has played for West Ham since 2015, could only manage two shots on target.

"It was embarrasing. I am better than that," said Antonio after the match on Instagram. "I don't even know what to say. I can't look at my son," he added.

It could have been worse for Antonio and the Hammers with Sessegnon missing two penalties.

Sessegnon took to Twitter to celebrate his win saying, "Great win! Looking forward to my apology @michailantonio #FIFAlondonderby"

The two players agreed before the match that the loser would apologise to the winner while wearing their opponents jersey.

On Friday, the Football Association (FA) announced that all matches in England will be suspended until 30 Apri.
