Spurs, Red Devils in Euro scrap

Cape Town – A Sunday stalemate is a popular tip from our panel for the Euro berth-influencing English Premiership tussle between grand old clubs Tottenham and Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Spurs lie second, and still dream of somehow overhauling Leicester to the title, and the Red Devils fifth, so at the very least this is an important fixture for lucrative Champions League positions.

United won the first-round clash 1-0 at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season, courtesy of Kyle Walker’s lone “strike” … at the wrong end.

But 1-1 seems most common forecast this time, no special help to either if it happens.

Each round of the 2015/16 Premiership campaign, a group of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Herman Mostert (Chelsea), and a trio of Manchester United devotees in Tashreeq Vardien, Lloyd Burnard and Maano Nekhavhambe.

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
