Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be weighing up a move for Everton defender Michael Keane when the transfer window opens again.
Spurs may need a new central defender as doubts continue to surround the future of Toby Alderweireld, and it has been suggested that Keane is a target.
The 26-year-old is producing his best form since making a £30 million switch from Burnley in 2017, which has also resulted in a return to the England squad.
Keane played in both of England’s recent games against Czech Republic and Montenegro, scoring in the latter, and rumours are rife suggesting he could be on the move from Goodison Park.
Everton will not be interested in cashing in on the player, but that will not stop Tottenham from making a move with reports claiming a £50 million offer could go in.
Tottenham will face competition however, with arch rivals Arsenal also said to be showing a keen interest, and like Spurs, have sent scouts to check him out.
