Cape Town - Tottenham
Hotspur expect Victor Wanyama to be sidelined for the next "few weeks" as a
result of the knee injury he sustained in training.
The 26-year-old midfielder missed the 1-1 draw with Burnley prior the international break after hurting his knee in the lead-up to the London Stadium clash.
Wanyama subsequently withdrew from the Kenya squad for their friendly against Mozambique, and Spurs confirmed on Thursday that the Harambee Stars captain will be out of action for a short spell.
"Victor Wanyama is likely to be out for a few weeks after sustaining injury in training prior to Burnley fixture," read a statement from the north London club.
Meanwhile Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said Thursday he is confident Serge Aurier will seize his chance after the player was dogged by disciplinary problems at Paris Saint-Germain.
The talented Ivorian right-back joined Spurs for £23 million from PSG on transfer deadline day last week.
