Cape Town - Reports revealed that Tottenham Hostspur are closing in on signing Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo.
Olmo was a star for Spain in their Under-21 European Championship victory last month and scored three goals as they went on to beat Germany in the final, including what proved to be the winner.
He joined Dinamo Zagreb from Barcelona in 2015 and has gone on to make 102 appearances, scoring 26 goals.
The versatile forward is now being courted by Tottenham, who are keen to further strengthen their squad after the singings of Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele, the latter arriving for a club-record fee.
Now, Mauricio Pochettino has identified Olmo as a potential signing and they are reportedly close to sealing a switch for €25 million.
Olmo has been quoted by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo that he would be open to a move to the Premier League.
"We are talking about the best leagues in the world and they all have positive things," he said.
"La Liga is something more special because for me it is home, with my people. But those of England, Germany and Italy also attract me very much."
