Schweinsteiger marries tennis ace Ivanovic

Cape Town - Germany and Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger has married former world No 1 tennis player Ana Ivanovic.

The pair have enjoyed mixed sporting results of late, with Schweinsteiger's Germany losing in the semi-finals of the recently concluded Euro 2016 tournament, while Ivanovic exited in Round 1 at Wimbledon a fortnight ago.

According to the ESPN website, the pair, who have been dating since 2014, made it official at City Hall (also known as the fancier-sounding Palazzo Cavalli) before being whisked away in a boat on the canal.
