Sakho wants West Ham exit - report

Cape Town - West Ham forward Diafra Sakho has told manager Slaven Bilic that he wants to leave the club this summer, according to Sky Sports

It is understood that Sakho spoke with Bilic over the weekend and wants to find a new club prior to the start of the new season.

As of now, Sunderland have expressed a lot of interest in the 26-year-old and even made an £11m bid to acquire his services earlier this month.

Sakho failed to have much of an impact during the 2015/16 season as he was limited to just 24 appearances in all competitions due to a thigh injury that kept him out of action from November to March.

Despite spending a lengthy period of time on the sidelines, the Senegal international did manage to score seven goals in the matches he did play.

Even if Sakho leaves, West Ham have already expressed their interest in a number forwards that could take his place, including Michy Batshuayi and Christian Benteke.

They also made bids for Carlos Bacca, Alexandre Lacazette and Callum Wilson, but nothing came to fruition.
