Earlier this week, winger Douglas Costa was asked if he would consider joining former coach Guardiola in the Premier League if the opportunity arose, to which he responded that it was a non-issue because the Spanish boss had a clause written into his contract stating he was not allowed to sign Bayern's players.
However, Associated Press indicated their sources at City believe that not to be the case, which has now been confirmed by Rummenigge.
"There is no agreement," he told Sport Bild.
"Nobody needs to make any enquiries about them. We have closed the door," he added.
Rummenigge's stance cools speculation linking star striker Robert Lewandowski and fullback David Alaba to Primera Division giants Real Madrid.
