Reine-Adelaide: Santi is a magician

Cape Town - Arsenal youth-team graduate Jeff Reine-Adelaide has revealed that Santo Cazorla is the player in the Gunners squad who he admires most.

The 19-year old is yet to establish himself as a regular member of Arsene Wenger's squad since making his first XI debut in January 2016.

He has, however, featured in nine Cup fixtures since then, and no doubt has ambitions to become a regular starter alongside his senior team mates.

“I look up to them all: "he told Arsenal Player when asked to name the senior squad player that he admires most.

“If I had to name one, it would have to be Santi Cazorla," he added.

“He has superb natural ability, he can play with either foot, he can do anything. I think he’s a magician.

“When you watch him play, you can sense he is really serene because he knows exactly what he is doing. Whatever the situation, he will win the ball cleanly.

“I try to be like that so I can play like him.”

Cazorla has had little chance to put his skills on display for the Gunners since November 2015, with first knee, then ankle injuries sidelining the player for the majority of the club's last two campaigns.

As it stands, the 32-year old is expected to return to training at the end of July once he has recovered from ankle surgery.
