Reds dealt Henderson blow for Arsenal clash

Cape Town - Liverpool are expected to be without captain Jordan Henderson for their Premier League match against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday.

Henderson sat out Liverpool's disappointing 3-1 defeat at Leicester City on Monday after sustaining a foot injury during training last week.

Speaking to the media after the defeat at the King Power Stadium, Klopp revealed that his skipper is unlikely to be ready to face the Gunners.

"It looks like he will not be ready for Arsenal," Klopp told a post-match news conference.

"That's how it looks but I'm not sure, we will see."

Henderson aside, the Reds were also without Dejan Lovren and Daniel Sturridge on Monday, although Klopp expects to have a fully-fit squad in the near future.

Liverpool confirmed that the injury occurred during training but that Henderson had not broken a bone in his foot, instead was suffering from severe bruising.
