Red Devils linked with double swoop for England duo

Cape Town - Manchester United are being linked with a double move for James Maddison and Jadon Sancho at the end of the season.

United have a new transfer policy of signing up-and-coming-stars, rather than those who may already be established, and that was proven over the summer.

Rather than target the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba, United brought in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire, who are still very young and should have many good years ahead of them.

The policy will continue at the end of the season, with reports claiming both Maddison and Sancho are high on the wanted list.

United was heavily linked with both players throughout the summer, but for one reason or another, the deals failed to happen.

Borussia Dortmund knocked back United’s approach for Sancho, insisting the young English international is not for sale at any price, while Leicester also refused to sell Maddison after already allowing Maguire to head to Old Trafford.

Whether the stance of the two clubs changes at the end of this season remains to be seen, but United look set to test their resolve once again.

Central midfield seems to be an issue for United and is one that is being discussed at length between media, supporters and pundits alike, and Maddison could go a long way towards solving the problem.

United will have to pay in excess of £100million to have any chance of landing Maddison and the same can be said of Sancho. It could even skyrocket, depending on the kind of seasons they both enjoy.

There is the possibility United will help fund both moves by cashing in on Pogba at the end of the season, with Real Madrid set to make a fresh attempt to strike a deal for the Frenchman.
