Cape Town - Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford hopes his impressive showing on his debut for England U21s on Tuesday evening gave Jose Mourinho a selection headache.
Rashford's hat-trick in their 6-1 drubbing of Norway's U21 side further enhanced his reputation as one of England's brightest talents as he maintained an incredible debut record.
The 18-year-old scored a brace on both his Europa league and Premier League debut as he went on to score eight goals in his first season with the senior squad, before opening his account on his England debut against Australia.
Now, he is targeting a place in Mourinho's side for the upcoming Manchester derby, having already bagged his first goal of the Premier League with a late winner in United's 1-0 victory over Hull City recently.
"As a young player that's all you want to do," the England international said, when asked if he felt he had given his manager food for thought ahead of the highly-anticipated Manchester derby.
"You want to make the manager make decisions about whether he wants you to play or be in the squad. Everyone is just looking forward to it so it should be a good game."
