Cape Town - Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has hailed his team's maturity after they recorded a 2-1 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Harry Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot early in the second half, with City pulling one back through Kelechi Iheanacho before Christian Eriksen tucked home the winner in the 83rd minute.
"I'm very happy and pleased with the effort of the players, they were brilliant one more time," Pochettino said. "We were consistent and showed big maturity – we're still the youngest squad in the Premier League, but we were fantastic.
"The players are a credit and it's a pleasure to work with this team. The character and mentality are fantastic.
"Today we can say that we have the quality, of course, but the mentality is amazing and how we've improved in all aspects."
Spurs have now won their last five games on the trot to climb up to second in the Premier League standings, level on points with Arsenal, two behind league leaders Leicester City, and four above Manchester City.
