Pochettino: Spurs need to change my job title

Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino says that the club should change his job title to coach as he has no involvement in transfers and contract issues.

The London outfit broke their transfer record fee after securing the services of Tanguy Ndombele while winger Jack Clarke signed a new deal after one-year deal out on loan.

The surprising exit has been Kieran Trippier’s sale to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid for £21 million.

Meanwhile, Spurs are reportedly looking at offers coming in for full-back Danny Rose.

"I am not in charge and I know nothing about the situation of my players," he said.

"I am only coaching them and trying to get the best from them.

"Sell, buy players, sign contract, not sign a contract - I think it is not in my hands, it's in the club's hands and (chairman) Daniel Levy.

"Maybe the club need to change my title and description. My job now is to coach the team.

"Of course I am the boss deciding the strategy to play, training, in my area, but in another area, I don't know.

"Today, I feel like I am the coach."

Tottenham start their Premier League campaign off against Aston Villa on Saturday, August 10.
