PICS: #YNWA - Wayde van Niekerk visits the Reds

Cape Town - Olympic 400m gold medal winner and world record holder, Wayde van Niekerk, paid a visit to Liverpool Football Club on Friday.

Van Niekerk, who claimed the 400m world record at the Rio Olympics by shattering Michael Johnson's old mark, is a massive fan of the club.

He took to Instagram to post pictures of himself with Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp as well as club captain, Jordan Henderson, amongst others.

Henderson returned the favour, taking to Twitter to thank the sprinting sensation for his visit.

Van Niekerk will watch Liverpool take on Stoke City on Tuesday, December 27 at Anfield.
