Cape Town - West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini says he is happy with his side's style of football, but can still see room for improvement.
The West Ham boss believes his team need to be more accurate with their finishing and need to stop conceding so many goals, having shipped two in each of the last two games.
"We need to create as much as we can and be more accurate with our finishing.
"We have already played games, not many, more than 20 percent of the league so we need to be clear about what we are doing well, what we are doing wrong. Ambitious, have a winning mentality and trust in what we are doing.
"We are where we deserve to be. If we beat Crystal Palace it would have been an excellent start. If you asked me before, maybe this is the position we deserve.
"We need to stop conceding so many goals, we have conceded two in each of the last two games.
"This style of football I am very pleased, we scored a beautiful goal against Palace. We have more shots on target, so I think that, especially for the fans, we are selling them a good product. The players are happy, I am happy."
Pellegrini was also asked whether he was surprised at Everton's poor form this season.
"Maybe, yes," he said.
"They have very good players and a team that is very strong every year. I suppose I expected them to not be in that position in the table.
"It is difficult to analyse their situation. Last season we beat them there when we were in a position that they are now.
"Games are always different though, I am sure we will find an Everton with high pace and looking to get better results than their last games."
