Pedro unsure of Chelsea future: 'My contract is up'

Chelsea winger Pedro is uncertain whether he will still be in contract with the London side as his deal expires at the end of June.

The former Barcelona playmaker is currently under self-isolation as most footballers and sports personalities are around the world due to the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

The 32-year-old joined the Blues in August 2015 for £21 million from Barcelona reveals that he is not too concerned about his contract as he looks to take care of his well-being while travel bans have kept him in London away from his family.

The Premier League along with the majority of the football leagues around the globe have suspended all matches in order to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Premier League hopes to resume the campaign in early May while many predict that football will likely take a lengthier pause and return in June or July.

Meanwhile, Pedro insists that his future will sort itself out as FIFA and clubs are looking at ways to amend the transfer window and contracts that are expected to end in June.

"My contract is up, but that's not the most important thing right now. I haven't even thought about it. My future will be resolved in due course," Pedro said as quoted by Cadena Ser.

"The most important thing is for everyone to show solidarity. Whatever happens regarding my future will happen, but right now it's not important as we don't even know when we will return to training.

"We have been in quarantine because one of our players (Hudson-Odoi) tested positive for coronavirus. He is now well, and we are very happy for him."
