Cape Town - Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a £32 million deal with Liverpool for the services of Belgium international striker Christian Benteke.
According to various news outlets in England, Palace have broken their club record to land the out-of-favour frontman, who will now have a medical and discuss terms in London.
Benteke fell out favour with the Reds under Jurgen Klopp, and the Merseyside club have recouped most of the £32.5 million fee they spent on the player when they signed him from Aston Villa.
Klopp said earlier in August that allowing Benteke to leave made sense and the deal to join Palace is said to involve an initial £27 million plus £5 million in add-ons.
Coach Alan Pardew is short of attacking options following the departures of Emmanuel Adebayor, Dwight Gayle, Marouane Chamakh and Yannick Bolasie.
