Ozil rubbishes exit reports

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has dismissed reports that he will leave the club if manager Arsene Wenger remains at the helm beyond the end of the current season.

Spanish magazine Don Balon has claimed that the German will look for a move back to La Liga should the Frenchman's tenure at the Emirates continue.

However, Ozil, who has scored five goals and a registered a mammoth 18 assists in the Premier League this season, has insisted this is not the case.

He tweeted: "Have seen the media reports today. Arsene Wenger was a big reason for me joining Arsenal - this hasn't changed! #Respect #AFC"

The 27-year-old joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013 in a £42.5m deal, and has gone on to score 19 goals in 109 appearances for the club.
