Cape Town - Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen
believes he will remain at the club until the end of 2018/19 and he is
unlikely to leave in January.
Christensen is out of favour at Stamford Bridge under manager Maurizio Sarri and has not made a single Premier League appearance this season.
In the previous campaign under then manager Antonio Conte the Denmark international was a regular, however, he did at times commit some key errors in defence for the Blues.
Sarri has used David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger as his regular centre-back pairing and a move away from Stamford Bridge has been discussed as he seeks out regular first team football.
When asked by Sky Sports if he would leave in January, the 22-year-old said: "Difficult question. No, I don't think so. Things are different from last season. I played a lot of games [last season] but this season it hasn't been like that.
"It's always difficult for a player but we'll see what happens. If you asked every player that's not playing if they're happy, they're going to say no. Everyone wants to play.
"I can't do anything else but go back there, train and do my best. Every time I get that opportunity, I have to do well and show him that he can count on me.
"You don't want to sit around and wait for it. You want to play straight away and that's why we all play football. Not playing is not fun. It's a different situation to last season."
