Cape Town - Liverpool are in the hunt to bring Olympique Lyonnais captain Nabil Fekir to the club in the off-season, according to the player's agent.
The Reds are reportedly interested in the France international but his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes added that there have been no talks with the club as of yet.
Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas will need to reach an agreement with Liverpool regarding a transfer fee before talks with the player and his agent can commence.
"Talks with Liverpool will only happen when there is an agreement with Lyon and Jean-Michel Aulas gives the green light," Bernes told French outlet Le Progres.
"Liverpool's interest exists but for now nothing is done. The transfer window is long and other clubs could show interest."
Fekir was in terrific form this past season netting 23 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 club.
