Moyes: Hart boosted his England chances

Cape Town - West Ham United manager David Moyes was delighted with goalkeeper Joe Hart's man-of-the-match performance in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.

Hart is aiming to establish himself as England's number one goalkeeper ahead of the Fifa World Cup in Russia, after falling out of favour due to a struggle for form.

Moyes believes Hart's performance at Stamford Bridge should put him back on track in the fight for an England call-up, after the goalkeeper made a string of excellent saves to secure a point for the Irons.

The West Ham boss told Sky Sports: "I think Joe probably needed a game like that.

"Joe showed today why he has so many caps and so many medals, so that will be good for him.

"When you do play the big teams you need your goalkeeper to play well and our goalkeeper played very well."
