Mourinho: 'Same problems still exist at Man United'

Cape Town - Jose Mourinho says people are finally realising why he said despite winning numerous titles that finishing second in the Premier League with Manchester United may be his greatest achievement as manager.

Speaking to French publication, L'Equipe Mourinho detailed how the same problems he encountered during his time at Old Trafford is still prevalent under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"I said nine or ten months ago that after winning eight championships, finishing second with Man United may have been my greatest achievement," he said. "Now people understand."

"I don't all the time do my evaluation on Manchester United publicly. I don't wish to discuss it and I have the feeling that I don’t want to go into much further detail, the point I made provides enough explanation.

"About United I want to say only two things, one is that time has spoken. Two is that the problems are still there."

Since the announcement of Solksjaer as permanent manager, United have gone on a disastrous run of form losing 8 of their last 12 matches and ending the season out of the Champions League positions.
