According to the Mirror, Jose Mourinho fears that United will be priced out of a move for Gareth Bale following his display in the Champions League final.
Bale scored a decisive brace in Kiev, including a remarkable overhead kick, as Real won their third successive Champions League title with a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
As a result, the report claims that Los Blancos would demand a £200 million transfer fee for the Welshman.
Not only that, but the former Spurs star would then demand £135 million in total wages over four years, bringing the total cost of the deal to over €380 million.
Mourinho is apparently hesitant to fork out so much for the 28-year-old, who has struggled with persistent injury problems since his then world-record arrival at the Bernabeu.
