Morata beaming after netting second Chelsea goal

Cape Town - Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata expressed his delight after scoring and assisting in Sunday's victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard headed home a pinpoint cross from Cesar Azpilicueta in the 40th minute, after Cesc Fabregas put the defending Premier League champions ahead, to secure a 2-0 win over the Toffees.

The strike was Morata's second league goal for the Blues and he was pleased to contribute towards the club's first home win of the new campaign.

"I’m happy because I scored, I took an assist and the team won," Morata said, as quoted by the club's official website.

"It was an important win. At Stamford Bridge we need to win all the games or try to take the three points. We played well. It’s very difficult to play against Everton and the team did a very good job. We didn’t give opportunities to Everton.

"It was a perfect day and now when we come back from our national teams we will keep working for the next match."
