Cape Town - Attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has described his move to Arsenal as a dream come true, following his switch from Manchester United.
As Mkhitaryan arrived in London, Alexis Sanchez was being welcomed in Manchester, as part of a swap deal involving the two players.
Having started life slowly at United following his switch from Borussia Dortmund, the 29-year-old ultimately became an integral part of Jose Mourinho's side last season, helping the club win the EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and Europa League.
But this season the Armenian fell of favour under Mourinho, and is looking forward to a fresh start with the Gunners.
Mkhitaryan told the club's official website: "It's a dream come true because I've always dreamed of playing for Arsenal.
"I'm very happy that we could finish this deal and I'm very happy to be here.
"Now that I'm here, I'll do my best for this club to create history."
On his new signing, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "Henrikh is a very complete player. He creates chances, he defends well, he can absorb distances and he's very committed as well. I must say he's a player who has all the attributes."
