Meyer responds to Liverpool links

Cape Town - Schalke winger Max Meyer says he is aware of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's admiration and has not ruled out a move away from the Bundesliga in the future.

Meyer, who made his senior debut for Germany at the age of 18, has been linked with the Reds as Klopp looks to build a squad capable of competing for European qualification.

Reports in the German media claim that the former Borussia Dortmund boss is ready to sanction a €33 million bid for the 20-year-old.

"I know from the past that he (Klopp) likes me as a player," Meyer told kicker. "He's a great coach, but I am very happy at Schalke, maybe someday I will consider new experiences, if another club is interested."

Meyer has scored 19 goals and registered 18 assists in 125 games since making his debut for the Royal Blues in 2013.
