Cape Town - Juan
Mata believes the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a valuable
asset to the Manchester United dressing room this season.
Ibrahimovic has signed a one-year contract with the Red Devils, after scoring 17 goals in 28 Premier League games for Jose Mourinho's side last season.
The Swede is still recovering from a cruciate ligament injury he picked up in the late stages of the 2016/17 campaign and is only expected to be back in contention for United towards the end of the year.
But Mata believes that his presence at the club is already a significant boost, saying: "He's one of those players that has a history of winning lots of trophies and scoring goals everywhere he goes and is the biggest star in the history of Swedish football.
"He's a legend of the game and we are happy that he is with us. For the young players he is a big personality who they can look up to and learn a lot of things. His personality will help us."
United next travel to the Bet365 Stadium to face Stoke City in an English Premiership clash on September 9 with Mourinho's men looking to continue their winning form.
Kick off is at 18:30.
