Cape Town - Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has
reassured Manchester United fans over Marouane Fellaini's injury ahead of the
Red Devils' trip to Stamford Bridge.
Fellaini missed Belgium's 1-1 draw with the
Netherlands on Tuesday in Brussels with a groin strain, but the former Everton
manager has revealed that it was merely a precautionary omission ahead of
Saturday's crunch clash for United.
"He should be fine, it's just he
wasn't 100 per cent," Martinez was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"He's got an important game at the
weekend and this wasn't the game to use players who weren't 100%.
"We expect he should be fine in the next
couple of days."
With Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw both
doubtful, Martinez's announcement will have been music to the ears of United
manager Jose Mourinho.
The under-fire boss will be hoping that the
Red Devils can continue the momentum they began to pick up in their 3-2
comeback win over Newcastle United as they visit the home of his former club.
