Mario Gotze opens up on Klopp talks

Vape Town - Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze has revealed he is still in regular contact with former manager Jurgen Klopp.

Gotze enjoyed a successful spell under the now Liverpool boss at Dortmund but decided to leave the club to join rivals Bayern Munich back in 2013.

After a disappointing spell at the Allianz Arena, Gotze is now back at BVB and looking to help the side pip Bayern to the Bundesliga crown this season.

Gotze has often been linked with a move to Liverpool to be reunited with Klopp and the player has now added fuel to the speculation by saying he is in regular contact with the tactician and is open to 'new challenges'.

Gotze told Bild: "He (Klopp) knew that I wanted to leave Bayern (in 2016). Of course, we talked.

"He knows me very well and that I am always looking for new challenges.

"I often speak to Klopp. He brought me to the first team when I was 17 and he made it all possible. We never stopped talking."
