Cape Town - Manchester City will allow out-of-favour defender Eliaquim Mangala to depart the club on a free transfer in the off-season, according to reports.
Former boss Manuel Pellegrini splashed out £42 million to sign the 28-year-old in 2014, but the France international has struggled at the Etihad Stadium, making just 81 first-team appearances in five years.
Mangala's last first-team outing was a Premier League game against Crystal Palace on February 2018, while he was sent on loan to Everton last season but returned to City with an injury.
He has not been included in boss Pep Guardiola's squad for the pre-season tour of Asia and, despite being under contract at City until next summer, it appears Mangala will be allowed to depart for nothing.
His former club Porto have been linked with a swoop, along with clubs in Turkey and Portugal.
